Julian started his career in the City of London in 1981 and joined GNI, a leading financial derivatives house, in 1982. GNI was a leading broker on the LIFFE market and, over the next 20 years developed active divisions in CFDs, Metals, FX and Commodities. Julian was appointed CEO of GNI in 2001, under the ownership of Old Mutual PLC and left the company on the sale to Man Financial in 2003. He then joined Fleming Family and Partners Capital management, a hedge fund seeding platform subsidiary of the family office and became increasingly involved with the Corporate Advisory side of FF&P from 2012. Here he started to engage in advising smaller companies on strategy and capital raising, and became a shareholder of Bletchley Park Capital Partners. Since Qufaro was established, he has offered advice to the Board and joined the Board as Chairman in March 2020. He is passionate about education and is Chairman of the Governors at an independent school in Shropshire, where he lives.
