The CyberEPQ is the UK’s first and only Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) in Cyber Security, developed by a consortium of education and cyber security partners to help provide a starting point for anyone considering a career in cyber security. It is a Level 3 qualification, certified by City & Guilds and taught using distance learning tools. The course has been modeled after the National Occupational Standards in cyber security and offers up to 28 UCAS points.
With two years of successful delivery, additional modules and improved systems, the third intake is designed to give more learners the opportunity to attain a cyber specific education.
The CyberEPQ can be studied through a school or independently and runs from September 2018 to May 2019. School learners are supervised by their teachers and independent learners will have a supervisor assigned to them.
There is a cost of £150 plus VAT (£180 VAT inclusive) for all school-based learners where a teacher will undertake supervision and marking with discounts available if more than five students are being enrolled and supervised by the same school. The course fee for independent learners is £500 plus VAT (£600 VAT inclusive). All course fees includes a City & Guilds registration fee.
