Qufaro aims to provide a clear pathway for anyone, whatever their age, with ambitions for a career in cyber security. Qufaro aims to plug gaps in cyber education and to establish a National College of Cyber Security at historic Bletchley Park, the home of code-breaking.
The first formal cyber qualification to emerge from the Qufaro initiative on Bletchley Park was an online EPQ (AS-level equivalent) in cybersecurity in 2016. A second online course will start in autumn 2017.
The planned National College of Cyber Security will have a physical presence, including accommodation and campus facilities, at Bletchley Park when Block G and the Canteen renovations are complete. These buildings have huge historical resonance dating to the world-changing wartime code-breaking activities.
Fundraising for the college is proceeding with financial support from companies and agencies who clearly see the essential nature of cybersecurity in the modern world.
